Liberty Pine Crest is an independent editorial website. This page explains how we handle money, links and independence, in line with the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), which ask publishers to disclose "material connections" clearly.
Where things stand today
As of the date above, this website carries no advertising, no sponsored posts, and no affiliate links. We are not paid by any manufacturer, retailer or brand to write about a topic, and nothing on these pages is a paid placement. Our guides explain product types and how to choose between them; they do not rank named products or send you to a checkout.
If we add affiliate links later
Retailers and marketplaces run programs that pay a small commission when a reader buys through a link. We may join such programs in the future to help cover the cost of running the site. If we do:
- Links that can earn us a commission will be labeled as affiliate links near the link or at the top of the page, in plain language you will see before you click.
- You will pay the same price you would pay without the link. A commission, when there is one, comes from the retailer's margin and not from you.
- Commissions will never decide what we write. Advice is based on how products work, safety, durability and fit for the job, and we will say when something is not worth buying.
- We will not accept payment in exchange for a favorable mention, and we will not present sponsored material as independent editorial content.
Product photos and brand names
Photographs come from Unsplash photographers and are used to illustrate a type of product or an activity. A product that appears in a photo is not an endorsement. We avoid naming specific brands except where a standard or a safety rule requires it.
