Liberty Pine Crest ("we," "us," "our") publishes free, ad-free reference guides for readers in the United States. This policy explains, in plain language, what information is involved when you read this website at libertypinecrest.com. The short version: there are no accounts, no comment sections, no advertising or analytics trackers, and the site sets no cookies of its own.
What we do not collect
We do not ask you to register, log in or create a profile. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or any similar analytics, advertising or retargeting tool. We do not use fingerprinting. We do not use forms that collect your name, address, phone number, payment details or any other personal information, and we do not sell, rent or trade information about readers.
Information that is processed when you visit
Server logs
Like virtually every website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider. Web servers normally record standard technical details about each request, such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and device type. These logs are used by the host for security, reliability and troubleshooting. We do not use them to identify individual readers, and they are governed by the hosting provider's own retention practices.
Third-party resources we load
To keep the site fast and readable, pages load two kinds of files from third parties:
- Fonts. Typefaces are served by Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser fetches them, Google receives your IP address and standard browser information. Google's privacy policy describes how it handles that data.
- Photographs. Photos are loaded directly from Unsplash's image servers (images.unsplash.com) under the Unsplash License. Unsplash receives your IP address and standard browser information when your browser requests an image. Unsplash's privacy policy applies to that processing.
We do not control these providers' logs. If you prefer not to make those requests, you can use a browser or extension that blocks third-party fonts and images; the text of every page remains readable.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set cookies and does not use local storage to track you. The interactive tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser: the numbers you type are processed on your device and are not sent to us or anyone else. If your browser or an extension stores anything, that is outside our control. Because we set no cookies, there is no cookie banner to dismiss.
Email you send us
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to read and answer your message, to fix errors you report, and to keep a record of corrections. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not share your message with third parties except where required by law. We keep correspondence only as long as it is useful for those purposes and then delete it in the ordinary course of housekeeping.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above to operate and secure the website, respond to messages, and improve our guides based on corrections and suggestions you send. We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Sharing
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed to service providers that help us run the site (for example, the hosting provider), when required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and security of readers and the site.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Liberty Pine Crest is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Residents of California and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others) may have rights to know what personal information a business holds about them, to request access, correction or deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information and we do not use it for targeted advertising. The only personal information we are likely to hold is the content of an email you sent us. To make a request, write to [email protected] from the address you used before and tell us what you would like us to do. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not treat you differently for making a request. California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code section 1798.83) allows California residents to ask about disclosures to third parties for direct marketing; we make none.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because this site does not track you across other websites, there is nothing to turn off. We treat browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals as requests that we are already honoring.
Security
We keep the site simple on purpose: it is a set of static pages with no database of reader information and no login system. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but reducing the amount of data we handle is the strongest protection we can offer.
Links to other websites
Our guides sometimes link to standards bodies, government agencies and other organizations. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Please read their policies when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be described here in plain language.
